NJHSA has a number of Academic, Athletic, Music, Fine Arts and Social/Cultural Club programs available to its members.

ACTIVITIES
Target Age of Participants: Students 12 years and up | The purpose of the club is to help students prepare to compete within the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association (NCFCA), the largest home school speech and debate league. Students must be motivated and parental involvement is expected. First-year debate students must attend a workshop or camp over the summer to get a foundational basis. No prior experience necessary for speech students. |
Target Age of Participants: PreK to 12th Grade | CALVARY Co-op provides academically challenging opportunities in a group setting. Courses that require a group or an audience, and are student-centered, hands-on, and activity-based are the focus of the classes. The goal of the co-op is to aid parents, not replace them, in the task of homeschooling their children. |
Target Age of Participants: Non-Judged: Elementary School | The Science Fair is an opportunity to showcase an area of science that the student has found interesting and has decided to study further through the use of scientific reasoning. Students follow the scientific method (purpose, hypothesis, procedure, data observations and analysis, conclusion, and research) & display their results on a vertical display board. It is fun to be able to display the experiment, its findings, and the student’s understanding in a room full of other scientists. |
Target Age of Participants: Jr. High and Sr. High | Vocal skills development and music education are the goals of the NJHSA Music division of the Fine Arts program. We have a Junior High Chorus, Select Ensemble, Senior High Choir and select ensembles. The choirs prepare students to audition for the select ensembles through the introduction of music theory and ear training and through singing a variety of musical styles. Students selected to participate in Vocalise, Men’s Ensemble and Concert Chorale will have the opportunity to minister in various venues. |
Target Age of Participants: Age 3 to Grade 12 | Music lessons for all ages are offered at Music Day. Open to all NJHSA families students can take lessons on piano, violin, guitar and most band instruments. Piano lessons are private, 30 minute lessons. All other lessons are 20 minutes for a single student, or 30 minutes for two students. Lessons are scheduled throughout the day, to try to accommodate family schedules. |
Target Age of Participants: Students ages 11-19 (tournament restrictions TBD) | The NJHSA Nets Basketball Program has been in place for over 15 years! The season runs from October to March. The Boys JV/Varsity Teams average 15-20 games per season, while our Middle School Boys team averages 10 games. The Lady Nets JV/Varsity Girls Team averages 15 games per year. |
Target Age of Participants: Kindergarten through Alumni | Bowling League is a great opportunity for kids of varying ages to participate in a light sport while fostering new friendship's. Each student is grouped with other students that are close in age. Participants are encouraged to improve their score through weekly pointers. |
Target Age of Participants: 7th grade & up | The general goal of the drama program is to establish the basic principles of Dramatic preparation, practice & presentation with influences from a Christian world view. Course content will include a variety of theatrical techniques, exercises and materials based on the needs, skill levels and initiative of the participants. |
Target Age of Participants: 1st-6th grades | The programs goal is to create a lasting love of the arts through dramatic presentation, while enabling the students to become powerful communicator’s. Students will be introduced to various forms of theatrical techniques to build upon their skills and provide a strong foundation for future dramatic studies or performances. |
Target Age of Participants: 7th Grade and Up | NJHSA has been publishing Legacy, a high-quality student/parent generated yearbook for over ten years. Members learn all aspects of layout, copywriting, public relations/sales, editing, and Photoshop, and collaborate with the team on editorial decisions. |
Target Age of Participants: Open to all ages | Young Friends Club (YFC) is another opportunity to get your children together on a regular basis for interaction, play and group games.The facitily includes an indoor gym,a large playing field, a basketball court and updated, imaginative play equipment; |
Target Age of Participants: 8th Grade | NJHSA holds both 8th grade and 12th cap and gown grade graduations. |
