START AN ACTIVITY
Activities are the backbone of our association and we encourage anyone with interest in leading one to reach out to the activities facilitator.
Member Parents who are interested in starting an activity should first post a classified to gauge interest. Upon seeing the interest level and if you would like to have a NJHSA sponsored activity to be posted on our website, then you will fill out the activity summary for approval. The benefits of having an NJHSA activity is being covered under our insurance, streamlined registration and billing and the support of our board.
Activities Summaries should go to both the NJHSA Secretary and the ASC (Activity Support Council) Rep of the program it would fall under. If the activities need a Certificate of Insurance (COI) the ASC Rep should contact the Vice President to acquire one for the new activity leader.

WHERE TO HOLD YOUR ACTIVITY

HOW TO GET HELPERS AND VOLUNTEERS
You are free to reach out to other members of NJHSA that you know and would have a similar interest or if you would like your ASC Rep and Membership Coordinator can put you in contact with others who may be able to assist in this area.
HOW TO GET THE NEW ACTIVITY ON THE WEBSITE
Once you fill out the activity summary, it will go to the NJHSA secretary and the NJHSA Board for review. Once approved, the Website Administrator will reach out to you and send you website information forms required for the activity page.
REGISTRATION FOR THE ACTIVITY
We highly recommend that registration be part of your activity, even if there is no fee involved. There will be a "Register" button on your activity page, but if you wish to have people connect with you prior to registering, that button will say "Connect" instead. You need to let the Website Administrator your preference.
HOW TO COLLECT FEES
Fees for each activity differ and are determined by the Activity Leader. Members will be billed through the website for any activity fee, including registration fee, if there is any. Members can make payment via credit card or Paypal. If a member would like to make payment via check, they need to make the check out to NJHSA and denote the activity in the MEMO line. Each leader needs to keep detailed records of all funds received and send a monthly report to the NJHSA Treasurer. If the activity will have a lot of expenses, then it is best to appoint a treasurer for your activity. A treasurer can be a participating parent involved in your activity or a current treasurer in your ASC. If you need suggestions, you can reach out to the NJHSA treasurer for referrals or info on the duties of a treasurer.
